I'm just like you are - I hate talking about or having people talk about ME.
It's embarrassing, but it has to be done.  So here goes....

MY BIO
Lynn has always enjoyed people-watching and people-drawing.  She remembers anxiously anticipating that glorious day when she could finally start going to school like her big sister.  Yes, she had two main objectives to fill that kindergarten year: she'd snag herself a boyfriend and she'd finally get proper art instruction.  Needless to say, school was a huge let-down for her!

From a very young age, Lynn had a good work ethic and would draw every evening.  This was perhaps not as much due to a fierce dedication to her drawing but more so because she had no TV, no Internet was clumsy at sports, hated reading fiction and was downright hopeless with any activity in the kitchen.

She always drew people and never really had an urge to splash on the color.  She preferred looking at faces and tones.  This preference must have been present at a young age, because one of her favorite schoolgirl memories was the day a fellow student got up for a show-and-tell and revealed a piece of tin foil.  Lynn was mesmerized by the spectacular variety of shades: the bright areas, the dark areas, the contrasts and the folds - wow - now that was a magical moment to treasure.

When Lynn attended university, she studied the sciences and social sciences, but always tried to cram in as many art electives as she could get away with.  Then during her childbearing years, she was busy - well - bearing children of course, so she chose family and work over drawing.

Now that she's retired, she still has no TV, is still clumsy at sports, dislikes reading most fiction and remains downright hopeless with any activity in the kitchen, so she's back to her daily ritual of drawing people.

WHAT AM I DOING, AND WHY?
I draw portraits. Every one of my portraits has a story.
I know most of the people I draw, and I like all of the people I draw.
